In the summer of 2019, WebSight Design (WSD) launched a new site for Fshomecare.com. Locally owned and operated, Familiar Surroundings Home Care (FSHC) provides in-home care for people of all ages and across a variety of settings, including private residences, assisted living communities and long-term nursing facilities.
The objectives of this redesign were:
- Improve the user interface and develop a modern-looking website with mobile functionality.
- Preserve all the content and the local, family-run, down-home vibe.
For the new website, a combination of color and button styles divides the linkable items in the header so that they are easier for users to navigate. Additionally, as the user scrolls down the pages, sections of content are visually separated and make for ease of use.
To protect the privacy of its clients, FSHC requested to use stock photography. WSD curated images from sources that do not have broad distribution. This set the new website apart from FSHC’s competitors that tend to rely on more widely-available stock photographs.
